As the exhibit of the month for January 2026, we would like to present to you the windscreen of a Fuchs armored transport vehicle (ATV), which is on display in the Military History Collection (MGS).

The fox has been successfully deployed in several international missions, including by other friendly partners.
A major weakness in the armor plating was the armored windows. Firing tests were conducted on the displayed windshield. These tests weren't carried out with heavy weapons, but simply with the G3 rifle and 7.62 x 51 caliber ammunition. While the windshield barely withstood the impact at a distance of 200 meters, the bullet passed straight through at 100 meters.
One shudders to think what a machine gun or an anti-tank weapon would do.
